I've heard a lot of furnishing customers wanting to buy solid hardwood furniture, or that brand name Natuzzi leather sofa. But who really knows what they are buying in terms of brand, quality, and functionality?

There is a lot of disparity in the market for high quality furniture and home furnishings. Visiondecor would like to break that myth of believing that solid wood furniture is the quality way to go. All be it that was the traditional quality cue for customers to buy something that lasts a lifetime. However, the downsides to solid wood furniture is that it is heavier, not environmentally friendly, and it costs the customer much more money for parts of the furniture that they can't even see or feel the difference. This is not even mentioning the type of maintenance, cracking, and finishing that goes into working the furniture over the years.

Then there is the modern manufacturing today, where wood manufacturing these days are more developed towards rubberwood or taking wood and mixing it with a synthetic material that makes the furniture more flexible and durable than solid wood products. Less maintenance goes into the products over the years, and the customer gets the best value for the look and functionality of the furniture product they enjoy.

But this is just a little insight, in the future we will go more into the specific differences in quality for both solid wood furniture and manufactured furniture.

Yes, it is not a marketing ploy to get you to buy more home furnishings items in one order (and we do acknowledge it is better for business). Most importantly, it allows us, the furniture shipper to ship the items in a safer manner. Large items and multiple items are grouped up onto a one shipment pallet for savings on combined shipping for the customer, as well as a lower risk of removal from the shipping pallet. With a lower risk of change in the way we shipped it from our warehouse to your doorstep, there will be a lower chance of delay and damage. There's already a slight lead and occasional delay in receiving the furniture you would love to enjoy as soon as possible, so we try to make it where it provides our customers great incentive to combine and increase the size of their orders for more convenience and better service.
Now, don't get me wrong here, visiondecor.com has for sure fully developed their high volume small package delivery processes and systems. It's just best for our customers to lower the chance of error as much as possible.

Now on larger orders there is a main type of delivery service called Less-than-truckload (LTL) delivery. These shipments are delivered through trucking and line-hauling companies where your items are mostly delivered on larger trucks. We know that at this moment, most national companies use these trucking companies to deliver their items, ranging from 4 - 6 weeks in lead time. Further, if you did not ask for white-glove delivery, you will have to be sure to have someone assist you in unloading the items off the truck. We understand that this is of some concern for our customers, but we are working very hard to find trucking companies with the best service and value to offer, and always take our customer's feedback into consideration in selecting our service providers. But nevertheless, we are always here to assist you in resolving any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
